I glorify you, Lord Jesus, for you have the power to heal and I have seen you do extraordinary things (Luke 5:17, 26).

Amen!
Our Mother, in end-stage Alzheimer’s was taken to hospital last Friday with pneumonia which quickly worsened. By 9 p.m. family had been called in for final instructions and goodbyes. Mom struggled to breathe, assisted by a machine and had a heart rate of 180. By Saturday evening we were told she had a day or two to live. The church prayer chain was notified and by 9 p.m. the tide had turned.
This morning Mom was sitting in a chair, coughing but no longer wheezing. During morning devotions I read 1 Kings 19 where God reminded Elijah He had reserved 7,000 servants who had not bowed to Baal. It resonated in my heart when my sister related a story, that last night, the nurse caring for mom came in singing praises to God. She said she loves to praise God while she works. And another nurse came in after and told my sister that “This never happens – people come to this ward and get worse, not better”.
We are never alone. Our healing God is so good, and today He reminded me that He has servants everywhere working on His behalf. So faithful, is He!
Thank you for faithfully writing this blog – I enjoy it often. God bless you for this timely verse today. All Glory to God!
Thanks for sharing this, Shirley. What a wonderful testimony of God’s healing power! Praise God!
