I worship you, Lord, for the sheer magnificence of your presence: clouds and thick darkness are all around you; righteousness and justice form the foundation of your throne. Fire goes before you and burns up your adversaries. Your lightnings light up the world; the earth sees and trembles. The mountains melt like wax before you. The heavens proclaim your righteousness, and all the people see your glory. All worshipers of idols are put to shame. For you alone, O Lord, possess immortality; you dwell in unapproachable light. To you be honor and eternal dominion (Psalm 97:2-7; 1 Timothy 6:16).
