Heart of the Artist

The Lord lives, and blessed be my rock, and exalted be my God, the rock of my salvation. I will praise you, O Lord, among the nations, and sing praises to your name (2 Samuel 22:47, 50).

I worship you, O Christ, for you were raised from the dead and exalted at the right hand of God who has made you our Messiah and Lord, the one who gives repentance and forgives our sins (Acts 2:32-33, 36; 5:31).

Who else is God but you, Lord? Who else is a rock, like you? You are my strong refuge and you have made my way blameless. You made my feet like the feet of a deer and set me secure on the heights (2 Samuel 22:32-34).

I worship you, Lord, for you have made known to me the path of life and I love being close to you and sensing the nearness of your presence (Acts 2:28).

You are my lamp, O Lord. You bring light to my darkness. Because of you I can run against a troop. Because of you I can leap over a wall. Your way is perfect; your word proves true. You are a shield for all who take refuge in you (2 Samuel 22:29-31).

I worship you, Jesus Christ, for you have been given authority over all flesh to give eternal life to all whom the Father has given you (John 17:2).

In my distress I called upon you, Lord; to my God I called. From your temple you heard my voice, and my cry came to your ears. You sent from on high, you took me; you drew me out of many waters. You rescued me from my strong enemy, from those who hated me, for they were too mighty for me. They confronted me in the day of my calamity, but you, O Lord, were my support. You brought me out into a broad place; you rescued me, because you delight in me (2 Samuel 22:7, 17-20).

I thank you, Lord, for the peace of Christ. Even though I experience difficulty in this life, I know full well that Jesus has overcome and conquered the world (John 16:33).

The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and my refuge, my savior. I call upon you, for you are most worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies (2 Samuel 22:2-4).

I worship you, O Christ, for you are the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through you (John 14:6).
